Call to order —Susie Flatau, Board Chair City Staff Present: Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator Kim Mcauliffe, Downtown Development MGR Sharon Parker, Board Liaison Susie Flatau Called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. B. Citizens wishing to address the board —Susie Flatau, Board Chair None present. C. Announcements regarding Arts & Culture— Susie Flatau, Board Chair Karen — all of their educational programs are full and on a waitlist Norma —work on exhibit at the Library for Black History Month. David — March 19th Photography festival on the square. Free classes at the art center and a live zoom at the library. Susie — Hoot and Howl on Feb 23rd from 6-7 pm. David Valdez work on display and will be the guest speaker at Grace Heritage on March 17th. work is on display at the Palace theater. D. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from the January 18, 2022 Arts and Culture Board meeting — Susie Kelly Flatau, Board Chair. Motion by Sonya Robinson to approve the minutes as presented, second by David Valdez Approved 5-0 Marissa Palmer and Jessica Sobhani absent . Minutes Arts & Culture Advisory Board City of Georgetown, Texas Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 4:30 PM E. Discussion of Library crosswalk art— Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator. Discussion: Amanda presented the artwork, this was designed by a staff member at the library. The staff and the library board has approved. The goal is to have it installed by the stroll. This will be our pilot program. We will have a booth set up during the festival to get feedback from the public. The life span is about 2-4 years. Public Works staff has equipment needed to remove when ready. No action needed. F. Presentation of Arts & Culture Coordinator report —Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator • Public Art Program o Projects in Progress — GISD Mural, Cistern at Heritage Community Garden Cultural District Programming o Georgetown Spring Art Stroll, Arts District Adjourn: Motion by David Valdez to adjourn the meeting.
