HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_GTAB_06.14.2021Minutes of the Meeting of the Georgetown Transportation Advisory Board and the Governing Body of the City of Georgetown, Texas June 11, 2021 Board Members Present: John Hesser, Michael Miles, Robert Redoutey, James Hougnon, George (Jerry) McCulley, Alfred Hajka Board Members Absent: Rachael Jonrowe, Dan Jones Staff Present: Joseph Carney, Leigh Wallace, Wesley Wright, Cindy Medrano, Sabrina Poldrack, Wayne Reed, Will Parrish, Katherine Clayton, Sheila Mitchell Others Present: Ken McHenry, Jonathan Tronson, Ron Bindas, Michael Farn (JMT), Philip Huntley (Garver) Regular Session A. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by Chair John Hesser at 10:00am Georgetown Transportation Advisory Board may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to Convene an Executive Session at the request of the Chair, a Board Member, The City Manager, Assistant City Manager, General Manager of Utilities, City Council Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the Regular Session that follows. B. Introduction of Board Members and Visitors: All board members, visitors, and staff were introduced. C. Staff Update - Wayne Reed, Assistant City Manager • Reed shared his departure from the City of Georgetown with the board and Wayne Nero as the interim Assistant City Manager. D. June 2021 GTAB Updates - Wesley Wright, P.E., Systems Engineering Director/ Christ Pousson, CIP Manager ■ Wright shared project updates with the board. Board had general questions that included timelines and locations of the projects. Citizens Wishing to Address the Board: There were no citizen comments at this board meeting. E. June 2021 Airport Monthly Report - Joseph A. Carney, C.M., Airport Manager ■ Joseph Carney provided the board with an updated report of the Airport. ■ The board requested a map that shows the location of the maintenance building at the Airport. Airport Manager to follow up with map. The board requested more information on hangars and cost from Airport Manager in the next update and how it is comparable. F. June 2021 Financial Overview of Airport Fund - Leigh Wallace, Finance Director ■ Wallace provided the board with financial updates related to the airport. • The board had clarifying questions related to financials to which staff provided answers to. ■ The board requested a financial overview tutorial from staff. Staff to follow-up with board on this request. ■ The board requested the following information to be provided at the next board meeting: mark-up on fuel and hangar rates and factors on the rates. Legislative Regular Agenda G. Consideration and possible recommendation to approve a Land Lease with Dale & Thomas Raveney for the hangar located at 201-C Hangar Drive on the Georgetown Municipal Airport with an annual lease rate $845.04 - Joseph A. Carney, C.M. Airport Manager and Wayne Reed, Assistant City Manager The board had clarifying questions on who currently owns the land lease. Staff clarified current ownership of the lease and how it came to be in the current state. There were no additional questions. ■ MOTION by Hougnon, second by Hesser. APPROVED unanimously 6- 0-1 Adjournment Motion by Hougnon, second by McCulley.
