HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_ANSAB_10.10.2019City of Georgetown Animal Shelter Advisory Board Meeting Minutes October 10, 2019 The Animal Shelter Advisory Board met Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 110 WL Walden Dr., Georgetown, TX 78626. Regular Session — To begin no earlier than 6:00pm. (This Regular Session may, at any time, be recessed to convene at Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551). The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Members Present: Ned Atkins, Bart Bartleson, Monica Gaskamp, Laura Klein Plunkett, Steve Fought Members Absent: Keith Fruge, Sarah Vigil Staff Present: April Haughey Meeting called to order at 6:01 PM by Monica Gaskamp I. Presentation of Animal Services and Animal Control Statistical and Analytical Report — April Haughey (Board Liaison) a. Fiscal year-end reports were presented. 1353 total intakes; 811 dogs, 542 cats; 93.6% LRR. b. 619 animals served in last FY at 6 clinics. c. 1105 more ACO calls than previous FY. d. 66 community events last FY. e. Barn cat program very successful, with 346 barn cats adopted out last FY. 2. Presentation of upcoming adoption and community events for October 2019 — April Haughey (Board Liaison) a. Two new partnerships; Pupology and Wag Heaven. Park Place and Brookdale continue. b. Rentsch Brewery sponsoring a Dogtober fundraiser for the shelter October 26th from 2 to 6 PM 3. Review of current staffing levels — Monica Gaskamp, Board Chair a. Angela Jones has been promoted to ACO Supervisor effective 10/14. b. Two part-time office staff have resigned. 4. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from September, 2019 — Monica Gaskamp, Board Chair a. Minutes reviewed by all present; no corrections noted. Motion to accept minutes, Ned Atkins; seconded, Bart Bartleson. Approved unanimously. 5. Public wishing to address the Board a. As of the time of posting, no person had signed up to address the board. With no further business or discussion, Laura Klein Plunkett made a motion to adjourn. Ned Atkins seconded.
