HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 12.10.1945 CC-R173 Georgetown, Texas, December 10th, 1945 The City Council met in regular session on the above date, in the home of Alderman C. C. Hamilton, Mayor M. F. Smith presiding# the following aldermen and officers being present: Aldermen: F. Be Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, 'ff. P. Hoffman, Jr., C. C, Hamilton and S. E. Tilcox. Be H. Cruce, city manager; C. S. Sandersp tax assessor and collector; and M. L. Cates, secretary, On motion of Alderman Chastain and Seconded by Alderman Hoffman the minutes of the last sessions of the Council were approved. On motion of Alderman Hoffman all accounts were approved and ordered paid. On motion of Alderman Hamilton, seconded by Alderman Chastain, the city manager was instructed to get bids on cleaning out the wells of the water department, On motion of Alderman Wilcox the report of Tax Assessor -Collector Sanders was received and ordered filed. On motion of Alderman Chastain, seconded by Alderman Buchholzv the Council voted to increase the monthly pay salary of Mr. Finney of the street department to $160.009 reserving $10900 a month for house rent, send terms beginninh on the First of January, 1946. A motion was made by Alderman P. L. Buchholz; and seconded by Alderman Hoffman, that the city pay City Marshall #25.00 per..rmntth toward the upkeep of an automobile, in addition to his regular salary,when the the marshal possesses an automobile, if used in the discharge of police duties.
