The City Council met in regular session on the above date, llamiltBri�'km.rTipresi.ddd, the following officers and aldermen were present: Aldermen F. E. Buchholz, J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamil- ton, W. P. Hoffman, Jr., and Sam F. Wilcox. Officers: C. S. Sanders assessor and collector; Albert Pray Marshal, M. L. Cates Secretary. And Manager r. E. Ward. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on motion of Alderman J. R. Chastain, seconded by Alderman Hoffman. On motion of Alderman Buchholz, all approved accounts were ordered paid. C)n motion of Alderman Buchholz, seconded by Alderman Will ox, Fireman lax Sansom was granted vacation of the usual two weeks with payo on -motion of Alderman Hamilton, seconded by Alderman Hoffman the Council adjourned to meet in continued session ,to Monday July 19th , i943. On Monday, July 199 19439 The City Council resumed its adjourned session and discussed water -and light rates fwitbi-Manager R. F. Ward. No official business was transacted. Ilayor Protem Hmmilton presided, and the Council continued the meeting to July 28th, Monday, July 26th, the City Council met in adjourned session all the members being present, Mayor Pro Tem C. C. Hamilton presiding. The session was to interview Mr. B. H. Cruce, an apllicant for the place of Mr. R. H. Ward, xx as "later and Light Manager. Tuesday July 27th, Mayor M. F. Smith presided at an adjourned session of the Council, members of the council present were F. E. Buchholz, J. R. -Chastain, W. P. Hoffman, Jr., C. C. Ham- ilton, and S. E. Wilcox, Officers: M. L. Cates, secretary, and Yr. R. R. Ward, Manager of Utilites. PursuanG to the request of D . Valter S. Martin Qity health offieer, and Fepresentatives of the Central Texas Ijealtlt Unit, headed by Dr. G. X. Covington, tyre council roet to consider a clean up campaign for the city to prevent tkz ?"olio from appearing in Georgetown. After hearing'the discussions *from the several° health authorities r'resent. a motion was made and presperly seconded calling "on the Mayor to issue "-Irocl,ama.tion catling a clearr-up campaign and asking all citizenZ to lend their full support of said campaig• to be out lihed by the health authorities.
