January 24, 1986
The City Council met in Special Session on the
above date at 5:30 PM with Mayor Carl Doering
presiding. The following Council Members and
Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, William C.
Shell, Jim Colbert, City Secretary Pat Caballero
and City Manager Frank Reed.
1. APPROVE CHARTER AMENDMENTS FOR BALLOT
Motion by Shell and second by Colbert to table
this matter until the February ll, 1986 regular
council meeting. Motion carried by unanimous
vote.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION UNDER ART. 6252-17 SEC. 2 (E) LITIGATION AND
(F) LAND.
Mayor Doering announced that the City Council
would meet in executive session under Article
6252-17 section 2(e) Litigation and (f) Land.
After the executive session the meeting was
again open to the public.
3. LAND PURCHASE
Motion by Shell and second by Girvin to
purchase, from Grady Watkins, the two eight foot
strips of land located at the east ends of E.
15th and E. 17th streets in the Williams
addition for a total cost of $2,250.00. Motion
carried by unanimous vote. Such purchase being
necessary to connect through streets to the
subdivision immediately east of this
subdivision. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
ADJOURN Motion by Colbert and second by Shell to
adjourn. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
