December 3, 1984
The City Council met in special session on the above date at
6:30 P.M. with Mayor Carl Doering presiding. The following
Council Members and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin,
Bill Connor, William C. Shell, Joani:King, Jim Colbert, City
Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Pat Caballero, Public
Works Director W. L. Walden, Planning Director Renee Hanson,
Tax/Finance Director Barbara Raney, Building Official
Frank Wineinger and Police Chief Travis Thomas.
Brazos River Authority Motion by King and seconded by Girvin to take one MGD
and related matters of present water and 3.86 MGD of future water. The voting
went as follows: YES: Girvin and King. NOES: Shell,
Connor and Colbert. Motion failed.
Preliminary Plat Motion by Shell and seconded by Connor to send this matter
Pleasant Valley back to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Approve 1985 Motion by Girvin and seconded by Colbert to approve the 1985
Holiday Schedule Holiday schedule. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Absentee Voting City Secretary Pat Caballero reported to the City Council that
Location the City of Austin planned to hold absentee voting for the Capital
Metro Election in Round Rock. Motion by Shell and seconded by
King to protest the location to the Austin City Council. The
Council further indicated that the City of Georgetown is willing
to furnish personnel and space if the absentee voting would
be conducted here.

Motion by Colbert and seconded by Connor
to accept a bid for
the surveying associated with the 10 acre water treatment
plant from Espey, Houston for $7,400.00.
Voting went as
follows: YES: Connor and Colbert. NO:
Girvin, King and
Shell. Motion failed.
Motion by Girvin and seconded by King to
approve a bid from
Freese and Nichols for the same surveying for an amount not
to exceed $12,000.00. Voting went as follows: YES: Girvin,
King and Shell. NO: Colbert and Connor.
Motion carried.

No action was taken on this matter.

Motion by King and seconded by Girvin to
adjourn. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
