HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 07.13.1982 CC-R46 July 13, 1982 The City Council met in regular session on the above date at 7:00 PM with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: Eb C. Girvin, Carl Doering, Marvin Lackey, Bill Connor, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Jim Colbert and Public Works Director W. L. Walden. Councilman Shell was absent. Minutes Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve the minutes of the City Council meeting held on June 3, 1982, June 8, 1982 and June 15, 1982. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Councilman Doering was absent. Bills Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve payment of bills over $2,000.00 including emergency purchases. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Award Bids - Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to award the bid Airport Erminal and on the Airport Terminal to Andrew Howard for $350.00 per Hanger "A" month. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Councilman Doering was absent. Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to award the bid on Hanaer "A" to Aeronautical Services, Inc. for $951.00 per Month. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Councilman Doering was absent. RAM Broadcasting No action was taken on this matter. Proposal Water Study Jack Barnes and Dr. DAvis Ford presented a study of the quantity and quality of the Georgetown water supply to the City Council. No action was taken. Williamson County Motion by Lackey and seconded by Doering to allow the Tax Appraisal Dist. Williamson County Tax Appraisal District to use the City Council Chambers for hearings except that each Tuesday after 4:00 PM, each 1st and 3rd Wednesdays after 2:00 PM and other times needed for City Council meetings must be kept open. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve on Amend Building Codes first reading as an emergency, an ordinance adopting 1st reading as updated building plumbing, electrical, mechanical, an emergency swimming pool, housing, fire, and unsafe building codes. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ord. Book #4, Pages 312-131). Advertise for Annual Motion by Lackey and seconded by Girvin to advertise for Bids bids on yearly supplies of flexible base, transformers, poles and gas and oil. Motion carried by unanimou vote. Advertise for bids - Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to advertise for Water & Sewer Lines bids on a water line along Williams Dr. and a sewer line along Leander Street. Bids to be taken for materials only and also for materials and installation. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Motion by Doering and seconded by Connor to approve on Abandonment of a second and final reading an ordinance abandoning the portion of Forest St. western one (1) foot of Forest Street between 6th and 2nd Reading 7th Streets. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #4, Page 314). Ordinance - Rezoning near San Gabriel Apts. No action was taken on this matter. RP to C -2A, 1st reading 47 Preliminary and Fianl Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve a Plat - Koy Estates resolution authorizing filing of a final plat of Koy Estates subject to approval by the Planning Dept. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4, Page 315). Preliminary & Final Motion by Girvin and seconded by Connor to approve a Plat - Park Meadow, resolution authorizing the filing of final plat of Section I Park Meadow, Section I, subject to approval by the Planning Department. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4, Page 316). Preliminary & Final Motion by connor and seconded by Girvin to approve a Plat - Northwest resolution authorizing the filing of a final plat of Animal Clinic the Northwest Animal Clinic, subject to approval by the Planning Department. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4, Page 317). Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Lackey and seconded by Girvin to approve on 1502 & 1504 Williams first reading an ordinance rezoning property at 1502 Drive. -RS to Rm-3, and 1504 Williams Drive from RS to RM -3. Motion carried 1st reading by unanimous vote. Connors abstained. Preliminary Plat - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to conditionally Toyah Point approve a preliminary plat of Toyah Point. Flint Drive is to have a 50 foot right-of-way with 36 foot pavement, curb and gutter, no parking, a five (5) foot road and utility easement and an additional five (5) foot utility easement. A twenty (20) foot road widening easement is to be provided along Leander Road. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Preliminary & Final Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve a Plat - Dela Cruz resolution authorizing the filing of a final plat of Estates Dela Cruz Estate, subject to Planning Department approval and that the property owner is to provide his own utility easements and services from existing City utilites. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ord. Book #4, Page 319). Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Connor and seconded by Girvin to approve on at Century Industries first reading an ordinance rezoning the property of RS to I, 1st reading Century Industries from RS to I. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Doering and seconded by Girvin to approve on at Semcor, RS to I, first reading, an ordinance rezoning property of Semcor, 1st reading Inc., from RS to I. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Rezoning Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to approve on at General Telephone, first reading an ordinance rezoning the property of RS to I, 1st reading General Telephone Company from RS to I. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Preliminary Plat - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to conditionally Turtle Bend approve a preliminary plat of Turtle Bend. Five (5) foot utility easements to be provided on all side lot lines. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Resubdivision - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to approve a Lot 7, Block A, resolution authorizing filing of resubdivision of Riverbend Addition Lot 7, Block A, River Bend Addition, Unit IV. Motion Unit IV carried by unanimous vote. (Ord Book #4, Page 318). Preliminary Plat - Motion by Lackey and seconded by Connor to conditionally Q Briarwood, approve a preliminary plat of Briarwood, Section II. Q Section II Motion carried by unanimous vote. Preliminary Plat - Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to conditionally Rocky Hollow Estates approve a preliminary plat of Rocky Hollow Estates. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion carried by unanimous vote. CAPCO Task Force Mayor Doerfler appointed Harry Gold to a CAPCO Task Force.
