Austin Ave. From C-1 to C -2A, Ist Readi ng Ordinance - Rezoning at 914 Rock St. from RS to C-1, Ist Reading 49 December 16, 1980 The City Council met in Special session on the above date at 7:00 pm with Mayor John C. Doerfler presiding. The following Councilmen and Officials were present: William C. Shell, Lee Fulkes, Harry Gold, Carl Doering, Ken Olson, City Manager Leo Wood, Assistant City Manager W. L. Walden, City Secretary Jim Colb ert, Tax Collector - Assessor Barbara Raney, Police Chief Travis Thomas, and City Auditor David Erickson. Motion by Gold seconded by Shell to award the following bids on projects funded by an Imminent Threat Grant: HIW - 1 $334,000. Cooper -Scott, Inc. HIW - 2 $371,135 McKinney & Moore, Inc. HIW - 3 $ 44,900 Dean Jones, Contractor Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Fulkes seconded by Gold to approve payment of $42,000.00 to Steger & Bizzell, Inc., for engineering on the projects funded by an Imminent Threat Grant. Motion by Shell seconded by Gold to approve on first reading an ordinance rezoning property at 103 N. Austin Ave. from C-1 to C -2A. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Motion by Shell seconded by Olson not to approve on first reading an ordinance rezoning property at 914 Rock Street from RS to C-1. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Preliminary Plat Mo4on by Olson seconded by Shell to approve a preliminary Plat for Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks Subdivision, Section III. Motion carried by unanimous III vote with Doering abstaining. Preliminary Plat - Motion by Olson seconded by Gold to approve a preliminary plat Country West for Country West subdivision. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Ordinance - Motion by Gold seconded by Fulkes to approve on first reading Abandon Ease- an ordinance abandoning easements on lots 28 and 29 of Block B, ment, Lots 28 & San Gabriel Heights, Section V. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 29, Block B , San Gabriel Heights, V Georgetown Motion by Shell seconded by Olson to authorize proceding with Railroad a property exchange in the vicinity of the City Water Plant. Motion carried by unanimous vote with Doering abstaining. Advertise for Motion by Gold seconded by Shell to authorize City Manager Bids - Police to advertise for bids on a police car. Motion carried by unanimous Car vote. Advertise for No action was taken on this matter. Bids - Pickup 480 Resolution- Motion by Gold seconded by Fulkes to advertise for bids Advertise for on new hangers at the Municipal Airport, Motion carried by Bids on Hanger unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book 04, Page 82). Ordinance - Motion by Olson seconded by Gold to approve on first Tax Assessment reading as an emergency an ordinance establishing the Tax Ratio Assessment rates at 100%, effective January 1, 1981. Motion carried by unanimous vote. ( See Ord. Book #4, Page 83). Lone Star Gas- Motion by Fulkes seconded by Gold to instruct Lone Star Rate Increase Gas Co to present an ordinance for a rate increase producing $75,000.00 additional yearly revenue. Voting went as fol- lows: Ayes: Doering, Olson, Fulkes, and Gold. Noes: Shell Motion carried. David Erickson - Motion by Fulkes seconded by Gold to approve the 1980 City Audit City Audit and pay the auditors' bill.
