HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 09.22.1978 CC-S387 September 22, 1978 The City Council met in special session on the above date at 4:00 o'clock p.m., with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and officials were Present: Carl Doering, William Shell, Kenneth Olson, Lee Fulkes, Harry Gold, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L. Walden, City Inspector Tom Sams, Community Development Coordinator Jim Colbert and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present were: Jack Dixon, Thomas Watts, James Eichel- berger, Jr., Jimmy Coffman and interested persons from Oak Crest Addistion and Serenada Addition. Cablevision Motion by Gold and seconded by Doering to approve an Ordinance on Rate Increase first reading setting new rates for the Williamson County Cablevision Company. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Annexation- Motion by Shell and seconded by Olson to adopt a Resolution setting University Hills a time, place and date for a public hearing for annexing a section of University Petition Hills Subdivision. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 0247) Water Rates Motion by Doering and seconded by Gold to authorize an Ordinance to be presented at the next regular council meeting to be held on the 10th day of October 1978, which increased all water rates over 10,000 gallons. The increase will be 15 cents per thousand for all water used in excess of 10,000 gallons. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Annexation Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to approve an Ordinance on Ordinance- second and final reading annexing 15.886 acres of land between Janis Drive Northwest Blvd. and IH 035, lying north of Northwest Blvd. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #245-246) Abandon Easement Motion by Shell and seconded by Doering to approve an Ordinance on Lots 3398340 second and final reading vacating and abandoning an easement between Lots 339 8 Serenada Unit 11 340 in the first resubdivision of Serenada Country Estates Unit 11. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book #3 - Page #248) Annexation-Andice Motion by Gold and seconded by Doering to adopt a Resolution setting a Oaks Petition date, time and place for a public hearing for annexing Andice Oads Subdivision. Motion carried by unanimous vote. (See Ordinance Book 03 - Page 249) Sales Tax No action at this time due to Ordinance not being completed.
