The City Council met in special session on the above date at 5:30 p.m.
o'clock with Mayor John Doerfler presiding. The following councilmen and
officials were present: Carl Doering, Kenneth Olson, William Shell,
Harry Gold, D. W. Scott, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary W. L.
Walden, City Inspector Tom Sams, Community Development Coordinator
Jim Colbert and City Attorney Joe McMaster. Others present: James
Napier, Robin Stringfellow, Harry Hunsicker and representatives of San
Gabriel Heights Apts. and members and representatives of the San Gabriel
Heights Homeowners Association.
San Gabriel Heights Mayor Doerfler asked City Attorney Joe McMaster his opinion as
Apt. Permi ts to the issuance of building permits on the San Gabriel Heights Apartments.
McMaster stated that since the owners of the San Gabriel Apartments had
complied with all City Zoning and Building laws and ordinances the City is
obliged to issue the requested building permits, After discussion by all
parties Gold moved and seconded by Scott that the building permits for 32
units located in the C-1 Commercial District be issued subject to the agree-
ment that a 6foot solid redwood or cedar permanent fence to be built between
the apartments and San Gabriel Heights. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
1977-1978 Budget Motion by Gold and seconded by Shell that the Appropriation Ordinance
adoFting the 1977-1978 City Budget be approved on first and final reading.
Motion carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business on a motion by Shell and seconded by
Gold the meeting adjourned.
