The City Council met in res ulr..r session on the above d?,te. Mayor,
.S. Elliott presiding. The following i.ldermen and of:icials being present,
Dennie +ilcox, Jr, A. Hoyt, Jr., Edgar P, Lliles, Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee
R? ans, Lee C. Black, City Manager, Claud Eads, City Secretary, rred Knauth,
Lenard McLaughlin, Fire Plarshall, Joe B. ,'chaster, Lity I,ttorney, T`Ein Dowda,
Chief of Police, C. S. Stinders, City Tax Collector and hssessor, also present
were, H. 'v�. Currin,,ton with I-arvin Turner Engineers, Dr. H.R. Caddy, Tr.
Douelas banold , Cerl Doering, President Georgetown Independent School District,

MenaE:er Black read minutes of re,•ula.r meeting; held January 13, 1964 and minutes
of c,.�lled meeting held Januery 20th, 1964. :klanager Black reed reports for the
month of January 1964 and submitted Ceneral Lund bills in the a -,count of �(,C)2.37.
Motion by Hoyt and seconded by Hiles that reports be accepted rind bills paid.
I:otion carried by unanimous vote.
Dr.Benold and (anddy stated that t}.ey had Ch&rity cases in their hospital for the
year 1963 services rendered from Hospital in the amount of X14,500.00 ,'7,F'g5.00
was for paitents in the City limits of Georgetown and w.6,6f'9.00 for patients
from Williamson County outside of City limits.
Drs. Lenold and Gaddy stated that they would like for the City Council to consider
paying at le .st 8 part of the expense of taking care of the Charity cases in the
future. They stated the .t they were considering raking an addition of 25 roolps
to the present Hospital. Tre,,r stated that: it would not be practi.ce.l for them
to do so unless they received help with Charity cases. lurther thousht and
study will be given at later date by Council.
Joe P. +e".ester City Attorney read a letter from James Catcher an attorney from
Taylor stating that a certain group of Citizens on the North and T;ast side of the
proposed Sewer location intentions were to protect their rights with reference
to their property and 'homes if sewer plant is moved to the new proposed location.
uayor Elliott requested that I -r. 't'. '.i. CurrinL;ton with Turner En.,ineers present
to'. the Council plans and cost of 6anitary -)'ewer disposal plant and present the
the Council with this information at culled meeting, lebruary 24th.
ATayor also sug4vested that Mr. Currington get facts and figures as to the amount
Government Aid City of Geor`etown could get in constructinc, a Sanitary Sewer
Disposal Plant.

payor stated that there would be a called meeting of Council on the 24th,
of Feb. 1964. The purpose of meeting is to discuss Government Aid in
building Sewer "isposal Plant and Sewer lines.

Sunday, or an official State holiday, beginning on the 20th dby and continuing

voting shall remain open between the hours of 8 and 5 on each
day for said absentee voting.
That said election shall be held n accorxance with the Election rode
or this -)tate and only resident qualified voters of said city shall be eligible
to vote at said election.
That the City Secretary/Clerkl stall give notice of said election by
posting a copy of this order in each of the election precincts of said city,
which posting shall be done not less than 30 dlays prior to date fixed for
sgid election.
That immediately after said election is held, the officers boldin- the
same shall make returns of the result ti:ereof to the ilalor of this city as
required by the Elc�,tion Code of this State.
A copy of this order shall also serve as a writ of election which shall
be delivered to the above appointed Presiding JudCe , for said election.

Motion by evans and seconded by Hoyt that Mayor Elliott and Manarer Black
talk with Holt tractor representative Fnd try to F,et a better price than
quoted in above bid. Llotion carried by unanimous vote.
