March 21, 1960.
The City Council met in called session on above date with Mayor
Forbes, Aldermen, Compton, Hoyt, Jones, Wilcox, Lee Black, City Manager,
Claud Eads, Secretary, W. K. McClain, Attorney. Three Bond firms were
represented, Jones C. Tucker & Company, Mr. R. L. V&illook, R. A. Underwood
& Co. Mr. Morris and Mr. Dubose. Rauscher, Pierce & Co. Mr. J. C. Welch,
Mr. Howard. General discussion with all three Cempanyfs was held and
then each one was given time to give their opinion and views concerning
general improvement program of the City.
Aftep due consideration on motion of Compton seconded by Hoyt, that
Council offer thanks to the men who came, that no official action be passed
tonight, that the information be weighed, studied and examined and thereafter
at decision be made.
There being no further business on motion Jones seconded by Wilcox,
Council adjourned .
