The Council met in regular monthly session on the above date, Mayor J. T. Atkin
presiding. The following were presents Alderman, J. H. Compton, Ralph Freund,
Elmer Fredericson, Kennie Wilcox and A. C. Woodfin. City Itanager ,Lee C. Black,
Assistant, H. A. Partain, Chief of Police Andy Pickle..
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and on motion of Alderman,
Fredericson and seconded by Alderman, Freund, were approved as read.
City Manager Lee C. Black read his February reports, the reports of other of-
fioials and accounts to be approved and paid in the amount of $ 816.94, on the
motion of Alderman, Compton seconded by Alderman, Wilcox , the general Accounts
were ordered paid and all reports were approved for filing.
Bids were opened on for the purchase of 5 units of two way radios the follarring
bids were submitted.

All other radio equipment owned by the City being Motorola, on the motion of
Alderman, Woodfin seconddd by Alderman, Freund the council voted to accept
the bid of $ 2,192.00 by Motorola Co.
Alderman, Woodfin made a motion, seconded by Alderman, Compton that the
Sheriff Posses be allowed to use the San Gabriel Center the nights of May,2,3, de
4th, for the purpose of having % dance after the Rodeo each night. l�=off
A letter was read by Mayor Atkin in regards to the Dam situation and locations
in Williamson County.
Mr. Conley and Mr. Cervenka came before the Council in regards to Champion
Aircraft Co. establishing an assembly plant at the Air Port in the near future.
There being no further business on the motion of Alderman, Fredericson, seconded
by Alderman, Compton, the council adjourned.
