Thatcher Atkin presiding, the following being presents Aldermen: J. H. Compton, E. K. r^redericson, Fred C. Smith, A. C. "7oodfin and Rennie Wilcox, Jr.; City Manager Lee C. '31pek; Assistart Manager H. A. Partain; W. H. Nunn, Attorney; CAlvin S. SFnders, Assessor - Collector; A. P. Pickle, chief of Police; 11. L. Cates, secretary. On motion of Ald. J. H. Compton, seconded by Ald. Kennie Tilcox, Jr. the minutes of the last session of the Council were approved. City Manager Black read his monthly reports and bills to be paid. On motion of Ald. A. C. Woodfin, seconded by Ald. Predericson. the reports were received and filed end bill ordered paid. Previously agreed to by the Couneilmen and the Mayor, the Isemme from the parking meters of Saturday, December 11th were donated to the the Community Chest, the amount of which was $46.71. Compton the NYA building at San Gabriel Park was tentatively rented to the Jehovah Witness Religious organization for convention purpose, April 29-30 and May lst, 1955. Compton made a motion that the Ordinance be read in full. Atd4*1-44n-C nWaedfin eed6aded the motion, which,carried, and the acme was read. Ald. Toodfin then Made a motion, that on- account of said ordinance containing the emergency clause that the usual rules for reading ordinances at three sucessive meetings be hereby suspended, the same be read by caption had passed its second reading. Ald. Compton seconded *he motion, which carried by the follo-,Ang vote; Ayes -- Compton, +rederieson, Smith, 'Voodfin, Wilcox. Noes --none. Ordinance Read By Caption. On motion of Ald.'Trederieson, seconded by Ald. Compton the ordinance was passed to its third and finsl reading, by the following vote: Ayes; - Compton, Frederieson, Smith, '►loodfing Tilcox. Noes --none, Ordinance Read '3y Caption. On motion of Ald. Smith, seconded by Ald. Tilcax the ordinance was passed finally by the following vote. Ayes --Compton, ^redericson, Smith, Wilcox Woodfin. Mayor Atkin declared the same duly and finally passed.
