Griffith, presiding; City Manager Lee C. Black jIndnth6 following aldermen being present: J. T. Atkin, C. C. Hcmilton.T. P. Hoffman, Jr., and Sam E. Harris. A Yotion was madee by Alderman J. T. Atkin, and seconded by Aldeftan Sam E. Harris, that the City Council agree to pay I.Tr. Jim C. Coffee $2,000.00 for the lot just North of the the Coffee Homestead con- sisting of approximately 120X190 feet, and stipulating that the lot would be purchased primarily for the erection of a water tower, rind providing that should the plana be changed for any reason, Yr. Coffee will have the option of buying this lot from the city at the original purchase price to the city. Furthermore, it is stipulated that the said water tower, if built, would not be erected closer than fifty feet of the front (West) Property linea According to an agreement the city shall provide the necessary abstract and deed for the signature of Yr. Coffee. The said above described lot is located on the corner of 13th and James Street on the East side of the intersection, and is directly North of the Coffee Homestead.
