Harris, presiding in the opening of the session, Hayor George C. Hester presiding the latter part of the session. Those present: City Yanager Lee C. Black. Aldermen: J. Thatcher Atkin, C C. Hamilton, IT. P. Hoffman, Jr,, Sam R, Wilcox, and Sam Harris. Officers: A. P. Pickle, Yarshall; C. S. Sandprs, assessor=collactor; IN. H. Nunn, attorney for the city; 11". L. Cates, secretary, On motion of T. P. Hoffman, Jr., seconded by C. C. Hamilton; the minutes of all previous sessions of the Council were approved. On motion of S. E. Tilcox, seconded by S. T. Atkin, the report of City Manager Black, including bills and Accounts in the amount of $660.11, and also the treasurer's report, were received and filed. On motion of Sam E. Harrip, seconded by C. C. Hamilton the Council agreed to lease to Mr. U)dkWilliams portion of the outlying airfiald tract of land under such conditions as stipulated in a contract negotiated, setting out among other agreements the amount of $20,00 annually. Ord. Committeeman read an ordinance Known as a Zoning Ordinance, hereto attached on pages 203-A to 203-D, inclusive, and moved that the same be passed to its second reading. The motion was seconded by Alderman C, C. Hamilton, and.was passe by the following vote. Ayes --Atkin, Hamilton, Hoffman, Eilcox, Harris. Noes --None. It was stipulated the aforesaid ordinance be published in order that the public may understand the future contemplations of the Council. The following Ordinance was offered by Ord. Com. Atkin, who moved that the said ordinance be read in full, the caption of which provides "An Ordinance of the city of Georgetown, Texas, amoending Section 168 Chapter XXII, of the Revised Civil and Criminal Ordinances of the said City of Georgetown, Texas, gixing the items of cost that shall be ted_,against Defendants convicted in the Corporation Court of said Carty, so that the same shall read as herein set out: The motion was sec- onded by Silcox and was passed by the following vote: Ayes --Atkin, Hamilton, Hoffman, Wilcox, Harris. ?Noes --None. Alper man Atkin Read the said ordinance in full. See Pages 203 B, etc., and moved that the xxmxbexx rules for passing ordinances, be suspend- ed, on account of an emergency stipulated in said ordinance, and that the same be passed to its second reading, and hereafter be read only by caption at future readings. The Undion was seconded by Alderman Harris and was passed, the following being the vote: Ayes --Atkin, Hamilton, Hoffman, Harris, Wilcox, Noes --None. The Ord. was read by Caption. On motion of alderman Harris, seconded by Alderman Hoffman, the C'rdinance was passed to its third reading, the following being the vote: Ayes -- Atkin, Hoffman, Hamilton, Harris, Wilcox. Noes --None. The Ordinance was read by Caption: On motion of Alderman Harris, seconded by Ald-rman Atkin, the said ordi+ta nance leas passed finally, thenfollowing beinh the vote. Ayes. -Atkin, Hamilton, Hoffman, Harris, Wilcox, Noes --Tone, The said foregoing Ordinance was declared duly and constitutionally passe i by Mayor Hester.. The Council Aec+eoted a petition and heard a group of business men present their opposition to the parking Meters. No official action was taken.
