Meeting Minutes
April 13, 2017
Regular Session
Members Present: Kelly Thyssen (Chairperson), Anna Eby, Susanne Paclebar, Lyle
Warden DMV, Keith Fruge, Cinthia Medina (Secretary)
Members Absent: Micki Rundell
Staff Present: April Haughey (Animal Services Manager/Board Liaison), Shawn Gunnin
(Board Liaison)
Meeting called to order at 6:09 P.M. by Kelly Thyssen
1. Introduction of all board members — Kelly Thyssen, Board Chair
a. New member: Keith Fruge
2. Consideration and approval of minutes from March 2017 meeting — Kelly
Thyssen, Board Chair.
a. Anna motioned to approve minutes, Susanne seconded the motion,
passed by unanimous vote.
3. Presentation of Animal Services Statistical and Analytical Report for March 2017
a. Highlight — March was a great month for adoptions:
i. 108 pets impounded and 50.3% adopted RTO
4. Review of Shelter Planners of America Needs Assessment presentation to
Council at the April 11, 2017 Workshop —April Haughey, Animal Services
Manager (Board Liaison)
a. Presented facts, not recommendations, to inform council of eventual need
for space. The presentation seemed to be well received.
5. ACO and Staff Appreciation Week - Kelly Thyssen, Board Chair
a. Discussion about funding additional ACO position to pick up dogs after
hours.
6. Motion to adjourn — Kelly Thyssen
a. Seconded by Keith Fruge and Susanne Paclebar. Passed by unanimous
vote.
