The Animal Shelter Advisory Board met on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.
1. Citizens comments - none
2. Approve minutes From March meeting of the Animal Shelter advisory board – Pam Jones

3. Presentation of animal services statistical and analytical report for March and April – J Carey
4. Discussion and possible action on license sticker for service dogs – J Carey
There are many federal laws and ADA requirements but Georgetown has no ordinances for governing
service dogs. This is beyond the responsibility of the animal shelter. No special stickers or tags will be
provided by the shelter.
5. Discussion about current needs at the shelter, including staff, equipment, space – C Hullum
A part-time kennel tech was asked to go full-time.
6. Discussion and possible action on future growth needs at the shelter – C Hullum
No big, expensive master plan will be done due to lack of funds. Need a RFQ to find someone to create a
more simplified plan.
Motion for RFQ for quotes for a master plan and use of donation funds to pay for it not to exceed $5,000
without further discussion: Christy
