Legislative Regular Ag¢nda
The Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee is esponsible for
hearing and taking Einal action on sign applications, by issuing CerHHcatesraf Design
Compliance based upon the City Council adopted Downtown Design Guidelines. This is
regular scheduled meeting of the Sign Subcomrnittee, For consideration and possible action on
clue following:
A. Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes from the May 12, 2014 HARC
Sign Subcommittee meeting.
Motion by Mee to approve th¢ minutes as subinirted. Second by Winder. Approved 3

B. rwablic Hearing and possible action on a request For a Certificate of Design Compliance
(CDC) For signage for tfae property located at 714 South Auatin Avenue, Suite 201
bearing Hie legal description of City of G¢orgetown, Block 41, Lot 5 (P"r), .06 acres.
(CDC -2014-021),
Synatschk presented the staff report and recommended approval based on it Fallowing
the gaiidelines.
TL a Commissioners expressed concerns regarding the number of signs, specifically the
mbar of A -frame signs, being allowed o the Square. Therewas c of the
cluttered look. Synatschk stated staff was considering altemarives forcpedestrian
signage such as vertical signage.
