Call to order by Frost at 4:09 p.m. She stated the first order of business would be the
appointment of a Chair, to run the remainder of the. meeting.
Regular Session (This Regular Session may, at any time, be recessed to c ene an Executive
Session for any purposed authorized by the Open Meetings Acq. Texas Govea-nment Code 551.)
The Historic and Archit¢cmral Review Commission Sign Subcommittee is responsible for
fiearing and taking finat action on sign applications, by issuing Certificates of Design
Compliance based upon the City Council adopted Downtown Design Guidelines. This is a
¢gula cheduled meeting of [he Sign Subcommittee, For consideration and possible action on
the following:
A. Consideration and action to nominate and elect the Chain Vice -Chair amd Secretary of
the Sign Subcommittee.

by Knight. Approved 2 - O.
Nomination by Knight for Richard M¢e [o serve as Vic¢ -chair of the Subcommittee_
Second by Me¢. Approved 2 - O.
Nomination by M¢e for Mary 7o Winder ko serve as Secretary. Second by Krright.

B. Review and possible action on the mrnutes from the January,. 23, 2014 Sign
Subcommitter� meeting.

C. Public Hearing and possible action o a Certificate of Desgn Compliance Request for
Signage at City of Georgetown, Block 40� Lot 9 (SCjPT), .0229 acres, located at 109 E. 8�^
St, Suite 200.

Synatschk presented the staff report The applicant is requesting approval of basin
signage that was installed on the door leading up to the s nd floor office suite The s
colors, placement and size of the proposed signage meet the design guidelines.

addition, she explained that city stafF was working on detailed checklists,. and customer
bulletins to provide clarity and guidance to applicants. The hope is [o help customers
nderstand the processes and help them provide more thorough information Eor each

The. commissioners and staff discussed how to reach the people that are installing signs
