Call to order by Mee at 4:05 p.m, and he read the order of business.
The Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee is esponsibte Eor
hearing and taking final action on sign applications, by issuing.Cerrificat¢srof Desigx�
Compliance based upon the City Council adopted Downtown Design Guidelines. This is a
regulaz scheduled meeting of the Sigv S.ubcommiK¢e, For consideration and possible acrion on

1. Review and possible action on the minutes from the July 25, 2013 Sign Subcommittee
meeting.

2. Public Hearing and possible action o a Certificate of Design Compliance Reques[ for
signage at City of Georgetown, Block 41, Lot 4 (P"I'), located at 906 South Austin Avenue
(CDC -2013-032).
Synatschk explained [tris :application. T11e applicant is requesting a color change to the
original application, along with approval to change the sign in the sign Frieze on etre
building fagade in a way. The new color depictions were provided and the
applicant was available Eor questions.
Commissioners disco ssed the different background color options with the applicant.
Camille's preference is the light blue background. The discussion included a rey uest
that the a fisting approved signs be. changed in color to be consistent with the newly
approved signs.
Mee opened the Public Heazing at 4:11 and with no speakers, closed it.
Motion by Knight to approve the signs with the background being the light blue,
Paxvtoue PMS 631, and the hibiacua Flower in the design should be the carne coral
color on all the signs, and the sign should fit into th¢ fri¢ze on th¢ fagade with true
exception of the leaves of th¢ flow¢r that may ¢xt¢nd slightly beyond the frieze as

3. Public Hearing and possible action o a Certificate of De -sign Compliance Request for
signage at City of Georgetown, Block 2H, Lot 1-H, 1.32 acres, located at SOO S. Austin
Avenue. (CDC -2013-041)
Synatschk presented the staff report. "The applicant seeks approval for exterior signage
n the thrc-e street facing fa4'ades. 'The request includes flush m anted signs above the
primary en trance,.and o sign each on the other two Facades. HARC approved the Infill
project (CDC -2013-025) at The July 25th meeting. The signs will be installed under the
roofline and lit from recessed lights.
The applicanq Stratton Hrnciq brought color samples of the signage-.
The Commissioners discussed the project Knight took issue with the appropriateness of
the original application so feels this is still a problem. 'They discussed the size and scale
of the sig -nage being appropriate and the standard process that allows corporate colors.
Mee opened the public hearing at n_i � and with no speakers commg forth, closed it.
Motion by Mee to approve the signage as presented. Second by Knight. Approved 2

not be in attendance at the regular meeting on Septeanber 26.
