The Animal Shelter Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Thursday, October 15,
2009.

Regular Meeting
The Animal Shelter Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Thursday October 15, 2009.
Meeting called to order at 6:01 p.m. by Christy Hullum.
1. Citizens comments —none.
2. Approval of minutes from the August advisory board meeting — Postponed to the November
meeting.
3. Animal Services statistical and analytical report for the month of September, 2009 — Ken Finn
discussed the report for September 2009. Intakes continue to trend in a positive direction. Senior Animal
Control officer position is vacant and recruitment for a replacement is ongoing.
4. Discussion and possible action on the recent adoption of a new Standard Operating Procedure
the adoption of cats adopted from the Georgetown Animal Shelter that are to be declawed — Ken
Finn reported that the shelter has implemented the new policy.
5. Discussion and possible action on statistical record keeping of pets being impounded by
Animal Services that have microchip identification — Ken Finn reported that the shelter should be
receiving updated software which will provide this capability.
6. Report from the "Bow Wow Bowl" fundraising event— Jackie Carey reported that the event was a
success and raised approximately $900.
