The Animal Shelter Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met on Thursday , June 16, 2005.
Members Present:
Shawn Gunnin, Chair, Lana Cagle, Dawn Hitt-Wilken, Ken Finn, Erica Haley
Members Absent:
Leann Phenix, Patty Eason
Staff Present:
Jackie Carey
Minutes
Regular Meeting
No citizen comments.
Ken Finn volunteers to transcribe minutes for this meeting.
Motion by Ken Finn to accept minutes of last meeting as presented. Second,
Lana Cagle. Passes unanimously.
Shawn Gunnin tables items “a” and “b” from the agenda in the absence of their
originator.
After discussion on the topic of Board’s City Council Workshop scheduled for
June 27, 2005, motion by Ken Finn to prepare for said workshop in the
following way:
I.Ken Finn will prepare and circulate to the Board for approval an
“Introduction” to the workshop presentation including a report on the new
shelter and a “thanks” to the Council for funding the Shelter.
II.Lana Cagle and Erica Haley, DVM will prepare and circulate to the Board
for approval a presentation on “Accomplishments” of the Department for the
Workshop.
III.Dawn Hitt-Wilken will prepare and circulate to the Board for approval a
presentation on “Opportunities” facing the Department for the Workshop.
IV.Shawn Gunnin will prepare and circulate to the Board for approval a
presentation on “Challenges” facing the Department for the Workshop.
After all parts of the presentation are finalized, Dawn Hitt-Wilken will produce
a PowerPoint presentation for the City Council Workshop.
Second Shawn Gunnin. Motion passes unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 7:10 PM.
