Members Present: Christy Hullum, Chair, Mike Simpson, Vice Chair, Keith Fruge, Secretary, Patty Eason, and Jackie Carey. Members Absent: Staff Present: Ken Finn. Minutes Regular Meeting Meeting called to order at 6:26 p.m. by Patty Eason. 1. Citizens comments — none. 2. Approval of minutes from the May, 2009 advisory board meeting — Patty Eason motion to approve and Jackie Carey second. Minutes were approved unanimously. 3. Animal Services statistical and analytical report for the month of May, 2009 — Ken Finn discussed the report for May. Service calls continue to trend upward. 4. Discussion and possible action on issues relating to ownership and keeping pit bull dogs and other animals that could be potentially dangerous within the city Limits of Georgetown — Citizen speaker was not present at the meeting. Item was not discussed. 5. Discussion and possible action on Board officers and a report on the outcome of actions transferring the position of Chair to Christy Hullum — Patty Eason motion to transfer chair position to Christy Hullum, Jackie Carey second. Motion was approved unanimously 6. Discussion and possible action on a Standard Operating Procedure addressing the declawing cats /kittens adopted from the Animal Shelter. — This item was postponed to the July meeting. 7. Discussion and possible action on Disaster Preparedness as it relates to Animal Services and the status of current preparedness and status of volunteer training related to disaster preparedness. — This item was postponed to the July meeting. 8. Presentation to the Board on the Animal Shelter's Foster Home Program. — Jackie Carey provided information in handouts that described the selection and training of animal fosters supporting the animal shelter and the overall practices and policies of the animal shelters foster home program. Meeting adjourned by Patty Eason at 7:12 p.m.
