Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee Meeting
Minutes
Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
Georgetown Municipal Complex, located at 300-1 Industrial Ave.
Georgetown, TX 78626
Members Present: Tommy Gonzalez, Chair; J.C. Johnson, and Nancy Knight
Members Absent: none
Staff Present: Robbie Wyler, Historic District Planner; and Karen Frost, Recording Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 4:10 p.m. by Acting Chair Johnson.
The Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee is responsible for
hearing and taking final action on sign applications, by issuing Certificates of Design
Compliance based upon the City Council adopted Downtown Design Guidelines. This is a
regular scheduled meeting of the Sign Subcommittee, for consideration and possible action on
the following:
1. Review and possible approval of the minutes from the March 13, 2008 Sign Subcommittee
meeting.
Motion by Johnson to approve. Second by Knight. Approved 2 – 0.
2. Review and possible approval of the minutes from the March 27, 2008 Sign Subcommittee
meeting.
Motion by Johnson to approve. Second by Knight. Approved 2 – 0.
3. Consideration and possible action on a request for a Certificate of Design Compliance for
signage for City of Georgetown, Block 38, Lots 2-3, and 1 (PT), located at 109-110 W. 7th
Street. (CDC-2008-017)
Wyler presented the application and applicable guidelines. Motion by Johnson to approve.
Second by Knight. Approved 2 – 0.
The Subcommittee will not forward these items to the next meeting of the Historic and
Architectural Review Committee for its consideration.
