Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee Meeting
Minutes
Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.
Georgetown Municipal Complex, located at 300-1 Industrial Ave.
Georgetown, TX 78626
Members Present: J.C. Johnson, and Nancy Knight
Members Absent: Tommy Gonzalez
Staff Present: Robbie Wyler, Historic District Planner; and Karen Frost, Recording Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 4:10 p.m. by Acting Chair Johnson.
The Historic and Architectural Review Commission Sign Subcommittee is responsible for
hearing and taking final action on sign applications, by issuing Certificates of Design
Compliance based upon the City Council adopted Downtown Design Guidelines. This is a
regular scheduled meeting of the Sign Subcommittee, for consideration and possible action on
the following:
1. Consideration and possible action on a request for a Certificate of Design Compliance for
signage at City of Georgetown, Block 42, Lot 7-8, 6(pt) – 1-3(pt) located at 310 W. 7th Street
Suite #102. (CDC-2008-006)
Robbie Wyler presented the application for the signage update of information and design to
the free-standing four-sided sign. The sign conforms to the Design Guidelines and Wyler
recommends approval.
Motion by Johnson to approve the application for Certificate of Design Compliance as
presented. Second by Knight. Approved 2 – 0.
The Subcommittee may forward these items to the next meeting of the Historic and
Architectural Review Commission for its consideration. That meeting is scheduled for March
27, 2008.
This item will not be forwarded to the regular Commission for consideration.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:12 p.m.
