City Georgetown Library 808 Martin Luther King Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626 Commissioners present: Joe Burke, Chair; Kelly Burris, Secretary; Clare Easley; Jim Keys; John Treuhardt; Beebe Gray; Mark Sparks, Virgil Buell, alternate; Commissioners absent: Karalei Nunn, Thomas Howe, Len Lester ,alternate Staff present: Leane Heldenfels, Paula Dessler A regular meeting of the Historic and Architectural Review Commission, for consideration and possible action on the following: Regular Agenda: 1. Review of certified minutes of February meeting Review of Item 5 Request for Design Compliance for exterior renovations to the Main Street Baptist Church. Motion by Burris to waive reading of the rest of the minutes, second by Gray. Approved 7-0 Motion by Burris to approve February minutes ;Second by Treuhardt. Approved 7-0 3a. Request for Certificate of Design Compliance for signage at Annie’s Kitchen 812 S. Church Owner: Mary Ann Pryor Applicant: Mary Ann Pryor & Jo Ellen Lyons Applicant proposes to change the message and color of the existing signage (formally Patti Cakes Bakery). First sign is 42'’tall by 31'’wide freestanding sign located in the front of the property. Second sign is a 38 ‘tall by 60’ wide and will be flush mounted to rear structure. (Cooler enclosure). Both are wooden in design with a beige/khaki background color and black lettering. Motion by Treuhardt to approve Certificate of Design Compliance for two signs as described in the item summary. Second by Kelly. Approved 7-0. 3b. Request for Certificate of Design Compliance for Walk in Refrigerator enclosure at Annie’s Kitchen, 812 S. Church. Applicant: Mary Ann Pryor & Jo Ellen Lyons Applicant proposes to remove an existing wooden storage building at the rear of the property. They would install a concrete pad to allow for the installation of a walk in freezer. Applicant proposes a lattice and arbor style (gabled roof). Compressors for the freezer will be hidden behind a fenced enclosure. Motion by Easley to approve Certificate of Design Compliance in accordance with the letter of March 4th, 2002 as modified to include an arbor style roof (gabled roof) with lattice sides. Second by Treuhardt. Approved 7-0. 3/27/02 Minutes Page 2 of 2 4. Review of the By-laws; passed out By-laws for review and will put on April 25th HARC agenda for 2nd review.
