The City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in special session on the above date
with Mayor Pro Tem Mike McMaster presiding.

A Consideration of approval of the Gabriel Heights Plaza Subdivision, a resubdivision and
partial vacation of Block 1, Lot 3A of Gabriel Heights and variances to site design
standards.
Kingma explained that this was a portion of an item that had been on the July 27
Agenda. There was some confusion as to whether the Council action was
complete on this item. The ordinance accompanying the item which was approved
by Council on first reading dealt with the zoning of the property. The request to
subdivide was not addressed. This request is to subdivide a single lot into three
individual lots with zoning of C-1. The Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that the property stay as one lot zoned C-1.
McMaster asked about the consequences of subdividing into three individual lots.
Kingma explained that the City is concerned about the increased access onto
Williams Drive that would occur from three access drives. Also, the lots would
be smaller than required by the Georgetown Subdivision Regulations which would
require that this property would have to be dealt with again as lot owners apply
to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Council for variances.
Motion by Tonn, secondby r •• along with the recommendationof
Planning and Zoning Commission to deny the resubdivision. Approved 5-0.
